How long has your retreat organization been operating?

Our retreat was founded in 2024 by two friends with a shared passion for Colombia and its rich culture. Allie, who traveled to Colombia and fell in love with its beauty and warmth, and Carolina, a Medellín resident with deep roots in South Florida, came together to create this unique retreat experience. Together, they bring a wealth of local knowledge, cultural insight, and a dedication to providing unforgettable experiences for our participants.

What should I bring to the retreat?

Bring comfortable clothing for activities like yoga and hiking, swimwear for water sports and the cold plunge, and warmer layers for evenings. Don’t forget personal items, sunscreen, a hat, and any medications you may need.

How do I get to the retreat center from the airport?

Detailed directions and transportation options, including shuttle service information, will be provided upon registration. Please contact us if you require assistance arranging transportation.

Will there be English-speaking guides available during the retreat?

Yes, we provide English-speaking guides for all our tours and activities to ensure clear communication and a seamless experience for our English-speaking participants.

Are meals included in the retreat package?

Yes, all meals are included expect for dinner on Day 3. Our chef will prepare nutritious and delicious meals, accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions as needed.

Can I participate in all activities?

While we encourage you to join in as many activities as you’re comfortable with, all activities are optional. You’re welcome to spend your time as you wish, enjoying the retreat’s facilities or simply relaxing.

What level of fitness is required?

Our retreat caters to all fitness levels. Activities like yoga sessions and guided hikes are designed to accommodate everyone, with modifications available as needed.

Will I have free time during the retreat?

Yes, there are periods of free time scheduled throughout the retreat, allowing you to explore, relax, or participate in additional activities at your leisure.

Is Wi-Fi available at the retreat center?

Wi-Fi is available in common areas of the retreat center. We encourage disconnecting from digital devices to fully immerse in the retreat experience, but understand the need to stay connected.

What is the policy for cancellations or refunds?

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the retreat start date will receive a full refund minus a processing fee. For cancellations made within 30 days of the start date, no refunds will be granted however, we will keep a credit on file for a future booking.

Can I extend my stay at the retreat center?

No, not at this time. If you decide to extend your trip in Guatape, we can assist you with arrangements free of charge.

Is travel safe in Colombia, particularly in the areas we will visit?

Colombia has made significant strides in safety and security, especially in tourist areas. The locations we visit, including Guatapé, are considered safe for travelers. Our team takes every precaution to ensure participants’ safety, including staying informed of local conditions and providing guidance on safety practices.

Should I purchase travel insurance for this trip?

Yes, we will require travel insurance. You will need to provide us with a copy prior to departure. This can cover unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage, providing peace of mind during your travel.

Where is Guatapé, and why is it special?

Guatapé is a picturesque town located in the Antioquia region of Colombia, known for its colorful zocalos (decorative tiles), tranquil lake, and the iconic Piedra del Peñol, a giant rock offering stunning views of the surrounding area. It’s celebrated for its beauty, outdoor activities, and as a perfect example of Colombia’s natural and cultural richness.

What can I expect in terms of nightlife during the retreat?

Participants will have the opportunity to experience Medellín’s dynamic nightlife, especially in the trendy area of La Provenza. We organize outings to local bars and nightclubs, where you can enjoy music, dance, and socialize. Our guides will ensure a fun and safe experience as you explore the city’s vibrant night scene.

Are meals and dietary preferences accommodated during the retreat?

Yes, we cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Our chefs use fresh, local ingredients to prepare a range of delicious meals. Please inform us in advance about any dietary restrictions or preferences so we can ensure your needs are met throughout the retreat.
